EDIT: Thank you very much for the Daily Deviation. I can't thank you enough for this elevated merit. I feel that it's only right for me to explain this piece:

Kala is also a name for the guardian of time whereas the use of Demi is a word play of Malay word "For the sake of" and a Goddess. Hence the title Demi Kala, or In The Account of Time.

The work vaguely depicts man's pursuit of true love - a Venus (incorporating the appropriation of Boticelli's The Birth of Venus) - in which most of the time renders him to be in loss having to go through the exhausting cycle every time he fails.

Therefore the line from the Koran, in al-'Asr that says "By (the Token of) Time (through the ages),
Verily Man is in loss" wraps up the whole piece.
